The Pocatello City Council has approved the Bengal Community Partnership Agreement, formally expressing the City and Idaho State University’s (ISU) commitment to working together in a spirit of collaboration and shared purpose.
“Idaho State University is an important part of who we are as a community, and the success of the university and the success of Pocatello are closely connected,” said Mayor Mark Dahlquist. “This partnership is about recognizing that connection and continuing to work together to make our community stronger. When the City and the University collaborate, our entire community benefits.”
The City and ISU have a long history of working together on initiatives that connect the university with the broader community. The partnership has included efforts to bring students and community members together, strengthen connections between campus and the community, and support opportunities for collaboration and service.
With the approval of the Bengal Community Partnership Agreement, the City and Idaho State University are building on that longstanding relationship and reaffirming their shared commitment to the Pocatello community.
The City of Pocatello and Idaho State University look forward to building on this partnership and working together to support a strong, connected, and thriving community.
