The Bannock County Coroner’s Office, in cooperation with Idaho State Police, has confirmed the identity of the deceased following the single-vehicle fatality crash that occurred on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, on US30 near milepost 375 east of Lava Hot Springs.
Deceased: Eben Michael Shrum, 24, of Montpelier (m)
Next of kin has been notified.
The incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
“Our office extends our deepest sympathies to Eben’s family, friends, and loved ones. We are keeping them in our thoughts during this difficult time,” said Coroner Torey Danner.
