(Pocatello Police Department Community Announcement, November 6, 2026)
On Thursday, November 5, 2026, at approximately 2:10 p.m., the Pocatello Police Department responded to a reported disturbance in the 1100 block of North Main Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a deceased adult male. Based on the initial investigation, the circumstances surrounding the death appeared to be consistent with a homicide.
During the investigation, Ronald Cantrell was detained after evidence indicated he had stabbed the victim. Officers and investigators continued their investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Ronald Cantrell was arrested and charged with Second-Degree Murder. He is currently being held at the Bannock County Jail.
