With 100% of precincts reporting, the unofficial election results for the Pocatello Mayor’s race held last night show that candidate David Worley, with 3745 votes (33.51%) will be facing incumbent Mayor Brian Blad in a runoff election.  Blad received 5162 votes (46.18%), failing to receive the majority of the votes cast that would have been required to avoid a runoff.  Council member Chris Stevens finished third with 2143 votes (19.17%).

The runoff election must be held within 30 days.  Bannock County Clerk Jason Dixon is expected to meet with the two candidates, Blad and Worley, sometime today to discuss the runoff process.  The election between the two, who will be the only candidates on the ballot, is expected to take place on or around November 30.
