Wayne Hoffman, president of the Idaho Freedom Foundation, will be the featured speaker at the Pocatello-Chubbuck Observer hosted Liberty Dinner, scheduled for this Saturday, June 11. Hoffman’s speech will focus on The Idaho Freedom Index: Holding Your Legislators Accountable.
Wayne Hoffman has led the Idaho Freedom Foundation since the organization launched in January 2009. He has spent three decades writing about and analyzing the laws and regulations that impact individuals, families and businesses. Hoffman’s commentaries are found in newspapers and on websites throughout Idaho, and have also been published by national publications.
Since 2012, The IFF’s Idaho Freedom Index has promoted transparency in Boise by reviewing and scoring bills based on whether they increase or diminish freedom. They also grade all lawmakers based on their support or opposition to those bills, thus making it easy for constituents to gauge their legislators’ actual commitment to freedom.
The dinner will be held at Mountain Valley Baptist Church, 202 S. 7th Avenue in Pocatello. The doors open at 5:30 p.m., with attendees having the opportunity to meet other citizens involved in, or looking to be involved in, promoting conservative ideas locally and in Idaho and beyond.
Liberty Dinners are usually held on the 3rd Saturday of each month; however, this month’s dinner will be on the 2nd Saturday of the June. The cost to attend each dinner is $25 per person. Dinners typically sell out a month in advance.
RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. For more information on this or future dinners, or to make reservations, contact John Crowder at 925-628-4033 or by email at jcrowder27@hotmail.com.
