Compassion and Hope Pregnancy Center’s summer fundraiser, Steppin’ For Life, will be held on Saturday, August 6, at OK Ward Park, located at 1400 W. Quinn Road in Chubbuck. While the main events are the 2K and 5K run/walks, there will also be a variety of attractions for those who prefer less-strenuous entertainment, including food, a silent auction and a raffle. Rocky Mountain Ministries will provide live music.
This year, the Pregnancy Center will be raffling off a switchback paddleboard worth $1,000. Tickets cost $5 each, or $20 for 6. They are now available for purchase at The Inn (160½ E Griffith Rd.), The Popcorn Shop (421 E Oak), and Amazing Glaze Donuts (215 E Cedar). Tickets will also be sold at the event.
To register for the run/walks, go to pocatellopregnancy.com/events. Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for young people ages 5-17. Children ages 0-4 are free. Packets for the runners can be picked up at OK Ward Park on Friday, August 5, between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Check-in for the runs will be at 7:30 a.m. on August 6, and the event itself begins at 8:30 a.m.
