Even though this may be my final newsletter as Idaho’s Lt. Governor, my intention is to continue communicating with the people of Idaho. My term officially ends at 11:59 pm on January 1st, 2023, and while the job has not been without its challenges, I have truly enjoyed serving the people of Idaho in this position.

The best part of this job has been helping the people of Idaho. I helped reunite families who were separated by the Department of Health and Welfare. I stood up for people who were left behind, declared “non-essential,” and forced onto unemployment. I worked to provide increased recognition for Idaho’s Gold Star Families.

There are so many wonderful people in Idaho, and one of my greatest joys has been helping them resolve issues and overcome hardships inflicted on them by the heavy hand of government.

I convened an education task force to help Idahoans better understand the problems in our classrooms and to determine what we need to do in Idaho to protect and promote traditional American values. Our efforts culminated in an event highlighting our work and President Trump’s 1776 Report. President Trump appeared via video conference to address the Idaho lawmakers and others in attendance.

Additionally, I enjoyed chairing the Regional Government Efficiency Working Group. One of the results that came out of our work was a recommendation for the Department Administration to conduct a comprehensive digital inventory of state-owned and -leased properties for each new administration.

During my time as Lt. Governor, Rep. Dorothy Moon and I initiated Capitol Clarity, a series of weekly information sessions to help keep Idahoans informed about what is happening with the Idaho Legislature. These weekly Capitol Clarity meetings will continue in 2023, with the first one scheduled for January 12, 2023. As always, we will endeavor to provide a livestream for those who cannot attend in person.

Going forward, I will be continuing my America First Warrior Podcast, which can be found at AmericaFirstWarrior.com. My goal, as it has always been, is to help conservatives, advance the cause of freedom and liberty, defend traditional values, and stand up for fiscal responsibility.

Speaking of fiscal responsibility — and despite media claims to the contrary — my goal was always to keep spending from our office’s small budget proportionate to the time period. Based on our current spending and projections for December, we will end the calendar year with at least half of the budget remaining for the next administration. Not only have I balanced my budget every year as the Lt. Governor, but in lean years, I even returned money back to the taxpayer.

Finally, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the many thousands of Idaho conservatives who are devoted to the same principles for which I stand. The pursuit of noble goals is not limited to a term in office. Rather, such efforts are a calling, requiring a lifetime of dedication and commitment.

We are entering a new year, which provides us with a fresh opportunity to take on the challenges of being a warrior for liberty and freedom. Please join me in this endeavor! I ask for your prayers and your ongoing support as we continue working to Make America — and Idaho — Great Again.

I wish you a happy and prosperous New Year, and I pray for God’s continued blessings on our state and nation. Goodbye!
