The most recent edition of ‘City Journal’, a quarterly magazine published by the free-market think tank Manhattan Institute, includes a feature article by Christopher Rufo titled “The Real Story Behind Drag Queen Story Hour.” The article explores the history of the drag queen movement and illumines the dark beginnings of queer theory. It also describes how the Drag Queen Story Hour movement is using seemingly-innocent encounters with children to subvert the traditional family and upend historic views about gender and sex.
