Idaho Falls–Stand Up For Idaho, an Idaho Falls-based nonpartisan citizens’ organization that peacefully and actively advocates for the rights and liberties of all Idaho citizens, will host a discussion tonight about the pros and cons on an Article V Convetion (also called a Constitutional Convention). Their announcement reads:
The country is in turmoil and many of us are wondering what we can do besides gripe about it. There is a very active effort underway to do what is necessary to cause an Article V Convention (also referred to as a Convention of States and Con-Con) to occur. This is where the ‘States’ could potentially create and ratify amendments to the Constitution. Is an Article V Convention a good or bad idea? It’s time we looked deeper and decide. The future of our country is at stake.
The class will be held at the Snake River Event Center (Shilo Inn), located at 780 Lindsay Blvd. in Idaho Falls. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the class begins at 6:30 p.m.
