Pocatello–With temperatures rising and a promise of dry weather through the weekend, the Gate City offers lots of activities to help celebrate! Here’s the roundup:
TONIGHT: Stop in at Purpose Tea during ArtWalk for a drink and some good music! Circle of Fifths will be performing Jazz and Roots Music from 5 – 8pm.
ALL WEEKEND: Several local businesses are participating in The Great Egg Hunt. The event notes read: “Participating businesses will have a wooden egg in their shop for you to come in and take a picture with. Once you have captured at least 7 eggs bring the photos into Family Fun Party to redeem for an Easter basket full of goodies. One basket is redeemable per family while supplies last.”
SATURDAY: The Easter Bash at Alameda Park runs from 10:00 a.m to 12:00 noon. The organizers say the event will include a “Free EASTER EGG HUNT for kids of all ages, music, firetruck and more! Bring the whole family for CANDY and PRIZES! You don’t want to miss out on the fun!!” Alameda Park is located in the 600 Block of E Poplar Street.
Lowe’s will hold their SpringFest Egg-Venture from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. They invite the community to “Enjoy SpringFest with a family-friendly Lowe’s Egg-Venture! Come enjoy Easter treats for the whole family – the dog, too! Grab candy and pose for an Easter-themed photo.”
The Pocatello Christian Outreach Center is hosting an Easter-Egg Hunt at O.K. Ward Park for the entire community. The event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will include a photo booth, games, activities, raffle prizes and more. The egg hunt itself will take place at 11:30. O.K. Ward Park is located at 1400 W Quinn Road.
If an outdoor egg hunt isn’t your thing, the Pocatello Greenhouse will be hosting their very first Indoor Easter Egg Hunt at 12:00 noon on Saturday. The event notes read, “We are so excited to invite you all to the Pocatello Greenhouse first ever Easter Egg Hunt! Saturday April 8th starting promptly at noon. Rain, snow, or shine we hope you join us for some Easter fun! Let us know in the comment how many kids in your family will be attending so we can have plenty of eggs for everyone!” The Greenhouse is located at 1300 E Oak Street.
Dancing with the Pocatello Stars will be held at Frazier Hall, located at 921 S 8th Ave, on Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m (doors open at 6:30). There is a fee for this event: $1 for students with ID and children under the age of 13, $5 for adults, and $15 for a family of four. Veterans may attend free of charge.
