Pocatello–The organizers of this year’s Veterans Day Parade have added a new way for the community to remember our veterans: a youth art contest. The Parade Committee’s website has the details:
The contest is open to all Pocatello-area school-age artists in kindergarten through 12th grade. Participants should create their artwork on an 8.5” x 11” paper using any art medium of their choice. Artwork should be original and relevant to the Veterans Day theme. Each entry should include the student’s full name, grade, school, and a brief description of their artwork.
Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place winners. Winners and their artwork will also be recognized during the November 4th Veterans Day Parade.
