INKOM DRIVERS – expect upcoming closures along I-15 and Old Hwy 91 as construction begins on the I-15 Inkom Corridor Improvements project.
Old Hwy 91 full closure beginning Feb. 15 I-15 down to single-lane, two-way traffic beginning early March.ITD is planning and designing several improvements to Interstate 15 (I-15) in Bannock County, in and near the City of Inkom.
In an effort to minimize impacts to those who live, work, and travel through the Inkom Corridor, ITD plans combine these projects into a corridor-wide improvement effort during construction. ITD hopes to reduce construction time to approximately 2 years, rather than extending it over several years. Benefits of combining projects include less disruption to the traveling public and the most efficient use of construction funds.
Construction is anticipated to begin in March of 2025.
