PragerU Video – Kari Lake: Why I Quit My Job as a News Anchor

0

June 6, 2021

PragerU has released a new video in which former news anchor Kari Lake details the extreme liberal bias and manipulation in the media that led her to resign from her position as a top news anchor.

The summary of the video states:

“News Anchor Kari Lake worked for the top news station in her state.  However, as an experienced reporter, she began to notice a disturbing shift in journalism:  fiction presented as fact and obvious bias depicted as truth.  Sadly, the days of journalistic integrity are over.  Hear what eventually caused her to quit her job in mainstream media.”

Gov. Little Orders Flags to be Flown at Half-Staff to Honor Former Idaho Supreme Court Chief Justice Chuck McDevitt

(Idaho Governor’s Office Press Release, June 4, 2021)

Governor Brad Little (Official Photo)

Boise, Idaho – Governor Brad Little ordered U.S. flags and Idaho state flags to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, June 26, to honor former Idaho Supreme Court Chief Justice Charles F. (Chuck) McDevitt, who passed away on May 29 at the age of 89.

Governor Little offered the following statement about Justice McDevitt:

“Justice McDevitt was an exemplary Idahoan in all aspects.  He was an influential legislator and Idaho Supreme Court Chief Justice whose storied career, loving family, military service, and countless contributions to our state will remain his legacy.  He was a great corporate citizen and individual citizen.  I personally was guided by Chuck when we worked together to preserve access on the Boise front.  Chuck was a promoter of parks and masterfully facilitated complex legal and policy issues in a way that will benefit the people of Idaho for generations to come.  Idaho truly is a better place because of Chuck McDevitt.  Teresa and I extend our condolences to his wife, Ginny, his family, and the many, many Idahoans who called him a friend.”

The Governor’s flag directive orders the U.S. flag and the Idaho state flag to be flown at half-staff at the state capitol building and at other state and local government buildings in Idaho from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, June 26, the date of Justice McDevitt’s family ceremony honoring his life.

IDGOP Chairman Tom Luna: Ammon Bundy is Not Welcome in the IDGOP

(IDGOP Press Release, June 4, 2021)

Idaho GOP Chairman Tom Luna (Photo Credit: Tom Luna Facebook Page)
Statement from IDGOP Chairman Tom Luna:
Last month, I reaffirmed the Idaho Republican Party’s stance in the upcoming 2022 primary elections.  We will be fair and uniformed for all registered Republicans running for office, and we will keep that commitment.  Recently, it has come to our attention that Ammon Bundy intends to declare his candidacy in the Republican primary for the Governor of Idaho, and this warrants a response.
First, Mr. Bundy is currently not registered to vote in Idaho, and he is not even registered as a Republican.  Furthermore, we do not support his antics or his chaotic political theater.  That is not the Idaho Republican Party, and we will not turn a blind eye to his behaviors.
To be clear, I was elected Chairman of the Idaho Republican Party to unite all Republicans to share and celebrate conservative values and preserve our traditional way of life.  Conversely, Ammon Bundy wishes to divide our party, openly supports defunding the police, and has known alliances with the radical factions of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement.
Republicans are the party of law and order, and Ammon Bundy is not suited to call himself an Idaho Republican let alone run for Governor of our great state.

Pocatello City Council Member Rick Cheatum Announces Bid for Re-Election

Pocatello City Council Member Rich Cheatum

June 4, 2021

Today, Pocatello City Council Member Rick Cheatum announced his bid for re-election.  Cheatum currently holds Council Seat #6.

In announcing his run, Cheatum issued the following statement:

“Four years ago, I announced my intention to file for election to the Pocatello City Council.  Today, I am announcing my intention to seek re-election to that position.

It was my original goal to serve one term on the Council and not run again, leaving the seat open for new blood.  But, I have changed my mind and decided I would like to remain on the council to use what I have learned about city government to the benefit of Pocatello residents.  This city, and most of Idaho, is experiencing unprecedented growth.  Growth in population, growth in businesses, growth in land and housing values, growth in virtually every measurement is occurring.  But, with that growth comes challenges.  And that growth and those challenges must be managed.

The community we enjoy can be better for those who live here now and for the generations to come if we manage development instead of letting it happen haphazardly.  How many of you would like to see your children and grandchildren find a home and a job here instead of in a city located hundreds or thousands of miles away?  Today, we are building the foundation for that to happen in the future.  A friend who recently retired from public employment told me a few months ago that a city is never done.  The need for streets, sewer, water, police and fire service, housing, jobs, parks, and all the other services a city provides are constant, but the way they are provided is evolving with technology and changing demand.

I have learned a lot about Pocatello and local government in Idaho in the past 3 and half years, and I want to continue to apply that knowledge and be a part of guiding the future of this City.  To do that, I need the support of Pocatello voters to be re-elected November second.”

Cheatum goes on to explain how residents can support his campaign.
